Check it out when you have a chance, but if that’s not today, see below for some highlights.
8th Grade Parents! Thank you to everyone who purchased leis from Manhattan Village Florist! Don’t forget to pick them up on Tuesday, June 14 and Wednesday, June 15 from 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 
Promotion Wristband Distribution Update:
  • This Wednesday June 8, each student will receive an envelope, labeled with his or her first and last name, containing at least four (4) and not more than six (6) wristbands. Please remind your kids to remove the wristbands from the bottom of their backpacks and give them to you when they get home.
  • Wristbands are required for all guests to gain entry to the event. Your promoting 8th grader DOES NOT require a wristband for admission.
Wednesday, June 15Minimum Day for all! Dismissal at 12:40 p.m.
  • The Promotion Ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. All students must be seated by 5:40 p.m. All guests must be seated by 5:55 p.m. 
  • 7:00 p.m. will mark the end of the Promotion Ceremony and the beginning of your family celebrations
Thursday, June 16: All 8th graders are expected to attend school!
  • 8th graders will meet in the MPR at 8:45 a.m. to enjoy a breakfast treat and receive their Promotion Certificates. This is also a great time for yearbook signing!
  • At 9:15 a.m. all rising 9th graders will be dismissed from MBMS for the last time!
    • 6th and 7th graders will be dismissed at 12:40 p.m.

MBX Summer School Opens for Incoming 9th Graders on 3/25
Registration for MBX Summer School classes opens at 9am on Thursday, 3/25 for incoming Freshmen and Sophomores. Athletics registration opens on Thursday, 4/15. To register, you must create an account in MBX Aeries (not Mira Costa Aeries!). Before your registration date, click here to create an account. Information on all classes is available at the MBX website.

iPad is the on the 1:1 device for eighth graders.  Personally owned Chromebooks are optional.  iPads are available to check out and borrow.  Due to lack of inventory, Chromebooks are not available to check out for eighth graders.
