It is with great excitement and respect that I enter my first day at Manhattan Beach Middle School as Principal. This is my 21st year in the school district; from teacher’s aide at Grand View to teacher at both Robinson and Pacific and eventually to the middle school, I am indebted to this community that has embraced me. At the heart of this commitment are the students we serve each and every day. Their needs are the focal point of my work and decision-making. It is a cliché, but one that is true, it takes a village, and I am honored to continue working with our dedicated staff, generous parents, philanthropic PTA and Ed Foundation and district leadership to ensure our students thrive.
Middle school is a wondrous and critical time for young people. The amount of growth and learning that occurs here at MBMS over this three year period is staggering. Being witness to their development is an honor as I am continually in awe of their insight, resiliency, and heart. As our students celebrate their accomplishments and face challenges, we as a community will be there to instruct and guide them. As we begin this new chapter, I ask for your continued support of me, our school, our staff, and especially our students. I am passionate about doing right by our children and wholeheartedly believe that together, we will continue to do just that.
I look forward to an excellent school year together!
