As part of the MBMS Cares, a program where MBMS families volunteer and positively impact our surrounding community, we have an opportunity for students to share their musical achievements/talents.
On Sunday, June 3rd, from 1pm - 2pm, MBMS students may perform on their instrument or sing at a local senior care facility. This is a great opportunity for students appreciate the older generations and to give back to the community.
Here are the details:
Date: Sunday, June 3rd
Time: 1pm - 2pm
Venue: Silverado Senior Living (514 N Prospect Ave, Redondo Beach, CA 90277)
Students may perform a 1 to 3 minute selection of their choice. Any musical genre (pop, classical, jazz, movie tunes, etc.) is welcome. Parents are encouraged to stay and watch. Students may access SmartMusic to find familiar music favorites, such as “Harry Potter”, “Lord of the Rings”, “Danny Boy”, “Take me out to the Ball Game”, “Star Wars”, etc.
To ensure a smooth and successful performance for the seniors, students need to record and submit their performance selection video by Thursday, May 31st. Signup and specific instructions are available on this link.
